The Doily Dress

One of a kind

Twenty-three antique hand-crocheted doilies, each one made by a different pair of hands at a different moment in time, assembled into a single dress.

No two doilies are identical : different patterns, different gauges, different histories. They have been carefully selected, matched, and sewn together by hand to form a fluid silhouette: thin spaghetti straps, an open, draped bodice, and a long asymmetric train that falls unevenly, the way memory does.

One size. One dress.

Handmade in Rome. Dry clean or hand wash with extreme care.
